Fiber splicing, taken to new heights.
Dur-A-Lift’s new Fiber Splicing Aerial combines a fully functional fiber optic splicing lab with a high-reach aerial lift—all in one efficient package. Built on the proven DTA2 Series platform, this truck delivers 42 feet of working height and a spacious, climate-controlled Intelli-Core body designed specifically for telecom and fiber installation crews.
Aerial reach meets splicing comfort
This innovative unit gives operators both elevated access and a comfortable indoor splicing environment. With its tall ceiling height, even technicians well over six feet tall have room to move, stand, and work comfortably. Inside, bright LED perimeter lighting, ample countertop space, and multiple 110-volt outlets create a well-lit, functional workspace for fiber optic splicing and testing.
The Intelli-Core body features fully insulated floors, walls, and roof to maintain consistent temperature year-round. Climate control comes from a 15K BTU air conditioner with heat pump and a 1500-watt electric heater, ensuring dependable performance in any season.
Powered by E-Drive efficiency
The Intelli-Core E-Drive system runs on three 5.1 kWh lithium battery packs and a 4kW continuous (9kW peak) inverter. This 48-volt DC system powers both the lift and lab without relying on the chassis battery. Charging is handled through a standard 30-amp shore power connection, keeping crews powered up and ready for long days in the field.
Dur-A-Lift’s new proportional CAN bus control system provides precise, variable movement of aerial functions for smooth, efficient operation. Both the lower and upper controls feature intuitive backlit keypads, sealed IP65-rated switches, and feedback indicators for a modern, dependable control experience.
