10 Years Ago: Dur-A-Lift Cuts Ribbon on Manufacturing Facility

April 22, 2015 – Iowa Governor Terry Branstad and Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds attended the grand opening of Dur-A-Lift’s manufacturing facility.

On April 22, 2015, Iowa Governor Terry Branstad and Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony, which marked the grand opening of a Dur-A-Lift’s new production facility. This 26,000-square-foot building was built to serve as a “homebase” of Dur-A-Lift operations. It’s construction also signaled a new chapter of growth: solidifying Dur-A-Lift’s place as a rising leader in the aerial lift industry.

Dur-A-Lift’s production plant now neighbors a much larger facility to its north. This new 150,000-square-foot manufacturing facility houses both Dur-A-Lift and Sudenga operations, both of which are underneath the umbrella of parent company Diversified Technologies (DTI). As Dur-A-Lift continues to grow, this new space has provided the opportunity to perform our operations on a larger scale.

Over the last ten years, our entire team has remained grateful for this facility. It has enhanced our processes in a number of different ways, and has overall improved the satisfaction of our customers and our team.

Since her initial visit in 2015, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has since returned to Dur-A-Lift. Her most recent visit was in March of 2022, as part of her 99 County Tour. During this visit, Govenor Reynolds spoke about a Manufacturing 4.0 Workforce Innovation Grant that was awarded to Dur-A-Lift from the state of Iowa. You can read more about that story here.
